The US trade deficit widened to $ 68.1 billion in November, with imports growing less than exports, Xinhua reported.

A new US Department of Commerce report showed that in November, US exports jumped 1.2 percent to $ 184.2 billion, while imports rose 2.9 percent to $ 252.3 billion.

Thus, the total US trade deficit jumped 8% in November compared to $ 63.1 billion in October, and compared to the trade deficit recorded in the same month of 2019, it jumped by 13.9%.

According to the report, imports of consumer goods grew for the second month in a row, which was probably due to high sales of these goods during the holidays and low stocks of these goods in US warehouses.
