World’s fair
The World’s Fair is held every few years to showcase the achievements of different nations in different countries of the world and lasts for six months. About 25 million people are expected to visit it. The pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran with an area of 2014 square meters is located in the neighborhood of the pavilions of France and Peru. The ruler of Dubai has announced that on the opening day of the exhibition, the world will be amazed and everyone will be astonished. The huge and ultra-modern dome of Al-Wasl Plaza and its surrounding buildings are supposed to provide the necessary space for more than 180 countries to participate in this cultural event. Since being selected to host Expo 2020 Dubai, the UAE government has taken the necessary steps to build an exhibition environment, and as the Emirati people are expected to do, it is doing so with the utmost magnificence. Al-Wasl in Arabic means communication and also refers to the main theme of the exhibition. Each country will have a pavilion, which are located in an area of 4.38 square kilometers. Sub-topics of Expo 2020
Sub-topics of Expo 2020 Dubai will be presented in the form of three separate pavilions:
“Opportunities” aimed at “realizing the potential and talents of individuals and communities to shape the future.”
“Mobility”, which is about creating “smarter and more constructive dynamics of people, goals and ideas (both physically and virtually)”.
“Sustainability”, which will show the self-sufficiency of buildings in terms of water consumption. It operates using solar energy and obtaining water from the air, and in fact, half of the Dubai Expo 2020 will be active through sustainable energy. In the grounds, there will be numerous spaces for entertainment, art exhibitions, gardens and green spaces, and numerous restaurants and cafes.
According to the director of the exhibition, “Expo 2020 Dubai brings together 195 countries and millions of people to celebrate unity and humanity. “There is something for everyone at the fair, from discovering innovations and initiatives to future potentials for using sustainable energy and experiencing the food and music of different nations of the world.”
It is planned that 80% of the exhibition infrastructure will be usable after the Dubai Expo 2020, and Siemens has already announced that it will establish its new logistics headquarters in the area.
